Working towards an Inclusive Methodist Church UK

Connexional Solidarity Circles (SC)  are being recruited to enable the Church to better understand the  issues of exclusion. These have been piloted and will continue to meet  on ZOOM. If you would like to be considered for Membership of one of the  SCs (Disability, LGBT+, Racial Justice & Women) you can find the  Advert, Expression of Interest Form & Role Pack at the following link. It  is a very long link!! Sue Spencer is already a member of an SC and will  be happy to talk confidentially &/or forward the link to you. Closing Date: 20th March 2023 at 9am. https://www.methodist.org.uk/about-us/jobs-volunteering/volunteer-positions/member-of-connexional-solidarity-circles-disability-lgbtplus-racial-justice-and-women-closing-date-20th-march-2023-at-9am/

At TMC  we have made a start- we  have registered with TORCH TRUST as a Sight Loss Friendly Church. We  are registered to solemnise same sex marriages. This doesn’t mean that  we have got it right! This is an ongoing learning process, all we have  actually done so far is show a preparedness, a willingness, to stand  alongside people who have not felt equally included in church life. We  need to listen and to learn, please join in.
